BitClout has upgraded the way that information about your BitClout account is passed to the BitClout.com node.
Many users were surprised to find that when they visited BitClout they were presented with a message on early Tuesday morning telling them that they needed to upgrade how they signed in to BitClout.
The upgrade process allowed the new identity.bitclout.com end-point the ability to access your account.
This new process of signing will allow third-party node providers and third-party application developers the ability to authenticate your BitClout seed without end-users needing to provide the seed phrase to the third-party.
It is highly likely that developer documentation for third-party access to signatures is coming in the near future and with that change we will see a major increase in applications and projects built on the platform.
